Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Halloween Party: Thank you so much for your incredible support in making our Halloween party a spooktacular success! Please return all books.    10/30 We have music.    Word Work: This week our class will be learning about the sounds that -ed says at the end of the words (-ed/-id, d, and t).   Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.   Dress Up Days: This week we will celebrate the fun of the season with dress up days.  See this flyer for each day’s fun as well as the dress-up guidelines. Math Adding & Subtracting:   Have you wondered how the base 10 strategy looks for adding and subtracting?  Below are two examples of how base 10 shorthand is used to represent the numbers and solve for the unknown.  Let me know if you have any questions....

I am looking forward to seeing the rest of our families this coming week. Word Work: This week our class will be learning about adding -ed and -ing endings to words.
