Weekly Update
November 2, 2026
Word Work: This week our class will be learning about the suffixes tion and sion as in the words celebration, information, passion, and vision. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.
Halloween Party: Thank you so much for your incredible support in making our Halloween party a spooktacular success! Whether you were able to volunteer your time at the event, send in supplies and treats, or generously contribute both, our celebration wouldn’t have been possible without you! The children had an incredible time and made some fantastic memories.
Math & Reading Journals: Occasionally, you will find a math or reading journal in your students backpack. We send them home when we are finished so you can see some of what we are working on. Often, you will find incomplete pages. This is not a concern and definitely not something you have to complete at home.
Winter Gear: If you have a Lincoln student who needs some gently used winter gear, please fill out the Google Form . All submissions will be completely confidential. Only our three office staff members (Lisa, Mallory, and Tiffani) will know the names of recipients. Please complete one form for each student.
Math Night: Please RSVP soon if you intend to join us for math night. See the flyer for details and this link to sign up.
Thanksgiving Luncheon: Our Lincoln School Thanksgiving Luncheon will be Thursday, November 19th. Due to space, only volunteer servers are able to join us. Thank you for your understanding.
Thank You! I am greatly appreciative of your support of my time away. I will miss the students so much while I am on my trip. However, I am really looking forward to seeing the passport books they create as they learn about the different countries I am visiting. A parent wondered if it was possible to follow my boat. Here is the link for that.
