Thank You:  Thank you to all our families for your hard work and generous donations for Laps for Lincoln.  It was wonderful to see everyone walking and celebrating our success. Your donations will help provide many educational opportunities for your children.  Please mark your calendars and attend our PTO meetings each month to be a part of how these funds will be spent.

Student Included Conferences: Conferences are just around the corner.  We are excited to include students again this year. During our 20 minutes together, your child and I will share information about their progress, goals, and future learning.

Word Work: Our class will be learning the /oo/ syllable pattern for the next two weeks. Our syllable pattern makes the sound as in fruit, tooth, Tuesday, and youth. Our goal in school is to be able to read, write, and spell these words.  In addition, students will bring home a poem every Thursday where they have searched for the words that follow the rule.  We are using this through the week to practice reading as much as we can in one minute.  I have encouraged them to read it to you at home.  If your child is working toward grade level in reading, you can read it together.

Book Order: A book order came home on Friday. I will be submitting the order on Friday, October 9th.
